Beyond the key benefits of dance such as cultural education and bringing people together for a common cause, Dance is also demanding. It
takes years of training to become a Bharatanatyam or Kuchipudi dancer. The work is demanding because the performers must train every
muscle in their bodies and faces in precise movements.
Level 1. (Beginners)
This course gives the introduction to the classical dances. During this period one can learn:
Basic Foot Steps
Basic Hand Gestures
Neck and Eye Movements
Level 2. (Intermediate)
This course is suitable for the candidates who are familiar with basic footsteps, hand movements and neck and eye movements’ etc.
The course starts with Jathis, Theermanam, and items with theory.
Level 3. (Specialization)
This course provides the advanced theory, which gives the complete study of hand gestures called Asamyutha and Samyutha Hasthas,
the Abhinaya Darpana, the Nava Rasa Vidana and the birth of Indian Classical Dances (Natya Shastra).
